Did you know that fifteen minutes a day with a loving, caring adult can make all the difference in a child’s life?
Strong family bonds during the earliest years of a child’s life are powerful predictors of a child’s healthy development. Whether you are a parent or caregiver, you play an important role as your child’s first teacher.
The positive outcomes of quality parent-child relationships and interactions in your child’s development are powerful, creating the foundational skills children need to succeed in school and in life! Children see benefits like improved cognitive and academic performance, better social-emotional development, and enhanced health.

Community Learning Center
The Community Learning Center (CLC) is located on the second floor of the Lighthouse for Children facility in Downtown Fresno. The Community Learning Center is a multi-use space made up of a health assessment room, lactation room, family room, classrooms, and training rooms made available to community partners serving families with young children.
If you are part of a particular program offered in the CLC and will not be able to attend an appointment, please contact the program provider directly.
The CLC centers around the shared vision rooted in the belief that all children and families deserve optimal care for healthy development of children and families. The vision is carried out by the CLC Partnerships, a group of core community-benefit organizations, educational institutions, and public and government agencies that serve children and families within the CLC.
Our CLC partners are essential to our work in supporting families with young children! If you are interested in becoming a CLC partner, please fill out this form.
